The Grey Zebedee weighted to open account at Catterick

The Grey Zebedee has run well in hius last two starts and looks worth a bet at 9/2 to open his account in the 5.00 at Catterick tofay.

In the first of those at at Musselburgh he finished third of nine to Boudica Bay off a rating of 54.

The Grey Zebedee attempted to make all and only weakened close home to be beaten a length.

Boudica Bay is an in-form horse who went into the race on the back of an easy win, so the form reads well in relation to this same grade class 6 affair.

The Grey Zebedee backed that up with a cracking 3/4 length second off the same rating over this course and distance when collared close home having looked all over the winner.

He also ran well last season when runner-up to Gale Force Maya in a novice contest at Newcastle off an official rating of 67 and the winner has own three times since with the last of those successes coming off 74.

That is also strong form and having started life off in handicaps on 68, The Grey Zebedee is now racing off 13lb lower (55).

It makes him very well-treated on the pick of his form, so if building on his latest efforts he looks the one they all have to beat in this.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win The Grey Zebedee (9/2 Unibet – BOG)
