The night boxing returned to Tolworth

Friday night saw professional boxing return to Tolworth Recreation Centre with a debut promotion by new promoter Richard Hunt Jr for Hunt Promotions, the show bore all the razzmatazz of much larger shows and the 5 fight card offered a well matched and entertaining evenings boxing for the nigh on sold out crowd with the event sponsored by your No.1 DAILY SPORT together with FONESINO.

First on the bill saw local lightweight Danny Parsons take on Yorkshire’s Brad Botham over 4 rounds with Parsons narrowly missing out on a win and losing the bout on points 39-38.

Second on the bill was a welterweight bout between Jordan Grannum and Ali Whyatt with Grannum winning on points over 4 rounds 40-36 and taking his pro tally to 2-0.

Third up was Chessington light-heavy Richard Harrison in a 4 rounder with Yorkshire’s Andy Neylon this was another evenly matched bout with Harriswon just edging it on the ref’s scorecard and taking the win 39-38.

Brighton welter Lloyd Ellett beat Pole Adam Grabiec over 6 rounds on points to be on course for a title shot later in the year.

Top of the bill saw popular Guildford bantamweight Thomas Kindon take on Georgia’s Mikheil Soloninkini over 8 rounds for the BPA International Challenge Belt and over the action packed 8 rounds Kindon took the bout 78-75 on the scorecard.
