Three Lions to roar again

Roy Hodgson got off to the perfect start as England boss in Norway and his side look a decent punt at 3/4 with BetVictor to beat Belgium in their final warm-up game ahead of Euro 2012 (5.15pm KO, Live on ITV1).

The Wembley game gives Hodgson one last chance to test his squad in competitive action, and they are fancied to edge what on paper should be a tight affair.

Belgium have shared the spoils in five of their last seven international friendlies, including each of their last three, and England’s last four victories have all been by a goal to nil.

Interestingly, Hodgson also led West Brom to 13 Premier League wins last season, and nine of them came by a solitary goal.

Four of Belgium’s last five defeats have also come by a solitary goal, so that suggests that backing England to win 1-0 is worth a wager at 13/2 with Blue Square and Coral.

In the first goalscorer market Danny Welbeck looks the value at a standout 6/1 with bet365.
