Total Submission looks nicely weighted now switched back to hurdles in the 2.40 Wetherby and makes plenty of appeal at 9/1.
Martin Keighley’s gelding has failed to cut any ice in his two latest starts over fences, and it’s no surprise to see connections switch him back to the smaller obstacles.
He gets into today’s contest off a mark of 115 and on his past form that would give him outstanding claims in this class 4 contest.
After winning a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter back in May 2010 he went on to finish an excellent fourth to Champion Court in a Grade 2 contest and followed that up with a fair 9th of 16 to Lush Life at the same venue.
The seven-year-old then led until weakening late on to finish 8th of 15 to subsequent Albert Bartlett winner Bob’s Worth on his first start of 2011 when officially rated 125, before twice being placed in handicaps off 120 and 119.
On those runs he has to be of interest in this off his current rating, and connections are also fitting him with the cheekpieces this afternoon.
With conditions ideal a big run looks on the cards, and at the odds on offer he looks terrific each-way value with bookmakers paying 1/4 odds 1,2,3,4.
