Traditionelle has shaped better than the bare result on her last two starts and looks worth siding with at 10/1 in the 3.00 at Doncaster today.

Tim Easterby’s filly has only had five starts and ran well on the third of those when fourth of 9 to Red Pike at Thirsk.

The daughter of Indesatchal was sent off 80/1 for that 6f contest, and after racing in touch kept on to be beaten 7 lengths without ever threatening to land a blow.

The first two home where officially rated 77 and 75 respectively going into the contest, and the winner has gone on and scored again since.

Traditionelle also finished just 1/2 a length behind her more faniced stable companion Storyline, who has since gone on to bolt up on her handicap debut at Redcar off 58 and is now rated 65.

The three-year-old went on to catch the the eye on her penultimate start when finishing fifth over 6f at Southwell, travelling strongly at the head of affairs and leading two from home before weakening approaching the final furlong.

That run was backed up by a staying on fifth of 13 to By Rights in a 5f handicap at Nottingham earlier in the month off a mark of 56, and the handicapper has since dropped Tradtionelle a 1lb.

That makes her look potentially well-treated off 55, particualarly on her run behind Red Pike, and the step back up to 6f should suit judged on Tradtionelle’s latest effort.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Traditionelle (10/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
