Manchester United look worth a wager at 9/4 with bet365 to win their away game against arch rivals Liverpool today (2.05pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1).
The Red Devils have won six of their last eight Premier League meetings with the Mersysiders and two of the last four at Anfield (D1, L1).
They bet the Reds 3-1 in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, and for all the criticism of begative play under Louis van Gaal are not far off the pace for the title and have’ not lost many games this season.
Yes they do need to get more attcaking flair back into their game, but there are signs that things may be turning that way and it was good to see them get three goals in their midweek draw againt Newcastle who themselves are performing well at present.
Wayne Rooney has now scored in his last three games for United, and he is undoubtedly their talisman.
He is a player to keep onside when in-form, and makes plentry of appeal at 7/1 with bet365 and Coral in the first goalscorer market.
With the likes of Martial also likely to cause a poor Liverpool defence plenty of problems, I can actually see United winning this with a bit to spare against an unpredictable side who rely massively on Coutinho.
Given United’s lack of goals this season that may look a bold shout, but there have been signs in the last two games that they are keen to get back on the front foot and be more bold and I am going to suggest small split stakes on them winning 3-1 or 4-1 at odds of 28/1 and 100/1 respectively with bet365 and Stan James.
