United value at 5/4 to triumph in Greece

Man United look worth a punt at the 5/4 generally on offer to win their Champions League game at Olympiacos tonight (7.45pm KO, Live on ITV1)

The Red Devils are faltering ine the league and have already exited the Capital One Cup and FA Cup, but have fared much better in this competition and had little difficulty progressing from a a group that involved Bayer Leverkusen, Shakhtar Dontesk and Real Sociedad.

David Moyes’ men also know that this is competition is their last chance of bagging and silverware this season, and with the deadly duo of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie firmly back in action are expected to prove too classy for the Greek side who won for the 24th time in 26 matches at the weekend.

However, the Greek Super League is hardly the strongest and their lastest win saw top scorer Javier Saviola limp off with an injury after 33 minutes which will keep him out of this game.

Without him I can see them really struggling to find the back of the net, and that sets things up nicely for United to use their firepower to secure the win.

Wayne Rooney has returned to scoring form in the week that saw him sign his new lucrative new contract, and he looks like a striker who has a point to prove.

He is also a player who tends to go on “hot-streaks”, and at a standout 9/5 with BetVictor looks well worth a wager in the anytime scorer market.
