United value at 21/10 to give Chelsea the blues

Chelsea square off against their arch rivals Man United in their FA Cup quarter-final replay at Stamford Bridge today (12.30pm KO, Live on ITV1), and it’s the Red Devils who look value at 21/10 with Coral to emerge victorious.

It will be the 11th FA Cup tie between the pair, and The Red Devils lead the head-to-head record by eight wins to two.

Sir Alex’s men have also won their last two games in the competition  at the Bridge with their last FA Cup defeat at the ground coming way back in March 1950.

They looked to have the first meeting sewn-up when going 2-0 ahead, but then seemed to go to sleep and paid the price.

I don’t expect them to make the same mistake this time round.

One bet that does stand out in this game is goals.

The last seven meetings between these sides in all competitions have seen 34 goals scored, with 18 netted in just two meetings so far this term.   That makes over 2.5 look a solid odds-on shot at a top priced 4/6 with Ladbrokes.

Javier Hernandez has scored in six of the last seven meetings between the two sides and that suggests he could be a bit of value in the goalscorer markets if making the first X1.

He can be backed at 7/1 with Paddy Power to net the opener, and a stabdout 9/4 with Stan James to net anytime.

In his absence, Wayne Rooney – who was rested in Saturday’s win over Sunderland – would be the choice at 7/1 with Paddy Power to score first and 9/4 with Stan James to net anytime in the 90 minutes.

In the correct score market, United to win 3-1 looks worth a small wager at a juicy best of 25/1 with BetVictor.
