Arsenal will be praying for a miracle in the second leg of their Champions League clash with AC Milan at the Emirates tonight (7.45pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 2), and in a tough game to call backing Robin van Persie to score anytime at 6/5 looks the safest bet.
The Gunners come into the game trailing 4-0 after the first leg in Italy and are not surprisingly 33/1 shots to make it through to the last 8.
A 5-0 scoreline is a 125/1 chance, and in all probability they just have too stiff a mountain to climb.
Don’t get me wrong, they could well win tonight, and are a top priced 23/20 with Paddy Power to do so.
But Itlain sides are no mugs when it comes to defending an advantage, and that makes the game a close call in the outright betting market.
So rather than get involved in that the best bet is surely backing van Persie to find the back of the net at some point.
With Arsenal having to go on all out attack from the first whistle, the Dutchman is sure to get chances and find it hard to miss them at present.
He is as short as 4/5 with Ladbrokes to do so, but you can get a whopping looking 6/5 with Coral and Hills.
That price is simply too big, and the advice is to snap it up while it lasts.
