Ventura Secret taken to cash-in on class drop

Ventura Secret is back down below his last winning mark and has underfoot conditions, so looks worth a punt at 5/1 in the 4.00 at Redcar today now dropped into class 6 company for the first time.

The gelding was last successful at Carlisle 13 months ago when landing a class 5 handicap over 1m at Carlisle on heavy ground off 67 when in the care of Tim Easterby.

He backed that up with a fair fourth of 11 to Khamaary in a class 2 at Redcar off 72 and has also ran well on two occasions this seasson after joining Michael Dods to make the frame over 6f at Carlisle off 70 and 69.

Ventura Secret was also far from disgraced last time out when fifth on nine to Gabrial The Tiger at Musselbrugh in a class 5 off 67 and has since been dropped another 2lb.

His revised rating of 65 is 2lb lower than when last victorious and gives him major claims now pitched into class 6 compamy for the first time in his career.

So with soft grounnd also ideal he looks to have plenty going for him in this.
