Aston Villa’s home record may be poor but they still look a great bet at 10/11 to beat Swansea this afternoon (3pm KO).
The Villans have lost four of their last five home games but come into the game on the back of a brilliant 3-1 over Chelsea at Stamford bridge and face a side with the worst away record in the league.
The Swans are the only team yet to win away in the top flight, and have managed just three points and six goals on their travels.
The Welsh side have also visited Villa Park on seven occasions and suffered seven defeats without netting a single goal.
Villa are also unbeaten in their first league game of the New Year since 2001 (W6 D4), and all the stats suggest this is the perfect opportunity for Alex McLeish’s side to start a better run of results in front of their home supporters and it will be disappointing if the don’t kick-off 2012 with three points.
I actually thought they would be around 8/11 to win this, so at 10/11 with Coral and Victor Chandler they look an asbolute steal.
