Waving goodbye to the pre-match handshake

After Luis Suarez’s decision not to shake Patrice Evra’s hand prior to Saturdays match at Old Trafford, pundits and bookies are now clambering to see who’ll be the next to refuse to shake a hand with some say the FA may have to wave the pre-match handshake goodbye.

Bookie Boylesport offering 3/1 that another player will refuse to shake Suarez’s hand before the end of the season and 11/5 that he gets a red card before the end of the season.

They are also offering 6/4 that Andre Villa-Boas gets the boot before the last game of the season after Chelsea dismal results in recent times.

“Luis Suarez has since come out and apologized for the incident on Saturday, but he’s going to face a tough finish to the season with the spotlight on him constantly.” comments Boylesports PR Spokesperson Nicola McGeady. “Chelsea slipped out of the Champions League places on the back of the defeat at Everton and Andre Villas-Boas quickly needs to find a solution before it’s too late.”

Daily Sport says – The end of the season is now hotting up with defeat and conflict all the way.
