Clonard Street has become dangerously well-treated and looks worth a wager at 12/1 in the 2.50 at Galway today.
Tony Martin’s five-year-old has not scored in 11 starts since making a winning debut over course and distnace back in August 2014.
However, he did finish runner-up in a Group 2 second time up to be rated as high as 108.
He is now able to run off a career-low mark of 79 and comes into the race on the back of an eye-catching effort last time out when a keeping on 3 1/2 length fifth of 14 to Hanley at the Curragh off 1lb higher.
That was a big step back in the right direction and his third run of the season.
The J P McManus owned gelding should now be spot on to do himself justice and if building on that effort is undoubtedly weighted to run a huge race for his shrewd connections.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Clonard Street (12/1 Coral, Ladbrokes – BOG)
