Nave looks weighted to make a bold bid to win the 5.05 at Windsor for the second year running and makes plenty of appeal at 6/1.
David Simcock’s gelding slammed Royal Etiqueete by 8 lengths in last years’s renewal on fast ground off a mark of 67 and went on to follow-up in good style at Epsom when easily beating Tingo In The Tale off 73.
He then got put up to a mark of 81 and ran creditably off it to finish fourth on two occasions on the all-weather at Kempton.
Nave now gets into this off just 69, having shaped encouragingly in just two starts this season, and that gives him a massive chance at the weights.
In the first of those he finished a not knocked about sixth of 10 to Starwatch over 1m 2f at this venue, and he then kept on from the rear to finish a never nearer fiftyh of 7 to su7nny Future last time out at Salisbury.
With those two runs under his belt, the seven-year-old should now be spot on to do himself justice and he looks to have been primed for this by a stable who are in good form at present.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Nave (6/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
