Well-weighted Twin makes plenty of Appeal in York opener

Twin Appeal has dropped a long way in the weights and having caught the eye last time out on his first start for Karen Tutty looks worth a punt at 8/1 in the 1.50 at York today.

The seven-year-old was last successful a Wolverhampton back in December when landing a class 4 contest off a mark of 83 for David Barron.

He got put up to 86 for that success and has largely struggled since

However, he shaped better than the vare resutl suggests over course and distance back in Mat when a keeping on sixth of 20 to Magic City in a competitive class 3 off 83 and ran well at Nwecastle ib July when a neck second off 78.

Twin Appeal is now able to race in this class 4 off just 75 which gives him major claims at the weights – especially given that last year he finished third in a class 2 at Newmarket off 91.

It is his lowest rating in over four years and he comes into the race having staye on under tender handling when a 3 1/4 length fifth of 14 to Start Time at Thirsk – leaving the impression he would have been much cloer given a stronger ride.

If building on that he looks a big player in this from his currenty lowly mark.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Twin Appeal (8/1 bet365, BetVictor – BOG)
