Well-weighted Warlu Way worth a wager at 12s

Warlu Way looks weighted to go well in the 2.05 at York today and worth a wager at 12/1.

Mick Esaterby’s charge has finsihed down the field in three starts this season, but his mark has dropped from 85 to 79 as a result.

The seven-year-old is now 6lb lower than when scoring at Carlisle 12 months ago, and 2lb lower than when getting beat a nose in this contest last year.

That gives Warlu Way a big shout at the weights, and this has undoubtedly been his target for some time.

His shrewd handler has managed to get him down to a very exploitable mark, and is sure to have him primed to the minute.

The ground has also come in his favour, and with Joanna Mason – who rode him in this last year – back in the saddle he looks cracking each-way value.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Warlu Way (12/1 Paddy Power – BOG)
