Wilder sensationally KO’s Ortiz in 7th

WBC world heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder retained his title in the early hours of Sunday morning with another trademark KO of Luis Ortiz in the 7th round of their Las Vegas rematch.

Wilder out boxed by Oritz for most of the first 6 rounds, showed his power once again and why his record is 41 KO’s from 42 wins.

Ortiz staggered to his feet after the knockdown, but couldn’t make the count. The look of frustration was clear on his [Ortiz] face, as he knew he had been well ahead on the judges scorecards.

This was Wilder’s 10th consecutive successful title defense, tying him with Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Larry Holmes, Tommy Burns and Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko as the only heavyweight champions to achieve that feat.
