Wizards Bridge looks magic at Wincanton

Wizards Bridge looks on a handy mark in the 6.50 at Wincanton today and at 6/1 rates the best bet on the card.

Colin Tizzards gelding was a dual winner over hurdles who has come good at the second time of asking over fences when gamely scoring by a head at Exeter off a mark of 123.

Wizards Bridge got put up 8lb for that victory, but ran a blinder of his revised rating of 131 when a 3/4 length runner-up to Smooth Stepper at Newcastle.

Since then the seven-year-old has managed to make the frame just once in five starts, but that has resulted in the handicapper cutting him some slack.

Wizards Bridge is now able to race off 127, and that gives him major claims from a handicapping perspective on the pick of his form.

He was also still going well last time out when falling at the tenth at Kempton, and now gets the services of Tom Scudamore in the saddle for the first time who has a 42% strike rate when teaming up with the yard in the past 12 months.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Wizards Bridge (6/1 BetVictor, Boylesports, Coral, Paddy Power – BOG)
