Colombia look a solid bet at 10/11 with Paddy Power to get their World Cup campaign off to a flyer with victory over Greece today (5pm KO, Live on BBC1).

The South American side impressed in thw qualifying stages, and despite the loss on the influential Radamel Falcao still have enough talent at their disposal to get the job done.

Teofilo Gutierrez and Jackson Martinez provide Columbia with a powerful attack, and the former looks worth a punt at a general 5/1 in the first goalscorer market having scored scored 12 goals in 30 appearances for his country.

Another bet that makes plenty of appeak is for Columbia to win to nil at a top priced 15/8 with Betfred, given that Greece have failed to score in five of their six games at the World Cup.

The Greeks are a very defensive side who lack any cutting edge up front, and although they may well frustrate Columbia I can’t see them being able to hold out for the full 90 minutes.

Columbia to win 2-0 is my idea of the outcome, and that scoreline can be backed at 15/2 with BetVictor.
