Colombia look a good bet at 11/10 with Paddy Power to win their Group C game today against Ivory Coast (5pm KO, Live on BBC1).
It will be the first ever game between the pair, and everything suggest that Colombia are worthy favourites to emerge victorious.
Los Cafeteros outclassed Greece 3-0 in their opening game – their best ever result in the World Cup.
Strikers James Rodriguez and Teofilo Gutierrez caused the Greeks all sorts of problems and the Colombia defence also looked very strong and organised.
By stark contrast, Ivory Coast were struggling and trailing 1-0 to Japan until the introduction of striker Didier Drogba saw them turn things around and triumph 2-1.
Colombia are a far stronger side than Japan, and the Ivory Coast’s two previous World Cup games against South American sides both ended in defeats.
I can’t see anything other than a win for Colombia in a game which has goals written all over it.
Ivory Coast have failed to score just once in their seven World Cup games, and Columbia have an attack which screams goals.
That makes over 2.5 goals look a cracking bet at a standout 20/19 with Hills, and over 3.5 also looks worth a small wager at 11/4 with Coral.
Gutirrez is my idea of the first goalscorer, and he can be backed at 6/1 with BetVictor.
