Zenafire hot stuff at Wolves

Zenafire shaped with bags of promise on his handicap debut and at 9/1 rates the best bet on tonight’s Wolverhampton card in the 8.50.

Reg Hollinshead’s charge had shown promise in three maiden runs over 7f, and duly stepped up on those efforts over course and distance last time out when fourth of 12 to Aragorn Rouge off an opening mark of 58.

Held-up at the rear that day, he was forced to make his move out wide at halfway and then kept on well without being unduly punished to nbe beaten just over 4 lengths.

It was an eye-catching run given how much ground he forfeited by racing wide, and one which suggested he was ahead of his current mark.

He now meets the winner on 4lb better terms, and remains an unexposed type who looks to have bags more improvement in the locker.

The son of Firebreak has also bagged a good draw in stall 4 tonight, and the booking of Graham Lee also catches the eye.

To me he will not have to find much to land this, and I am convinced that he is more than capable of winning races from his current rating.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Zenafire (9/1 Hills – BOG)
