Orpington boxer Alex Bellingham says he ready to put on a show for his fans in his second appearance in the UK’s premier boxing league later this month, as he prepares for battle at the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey.

The 22-year-old former amateur star was last in action back in June when he made a winning start to his Queensbury Boxing League career by beating London southpaw Jerome Prince in a tough debut, and after watching the fight back on TV, Bellingham, who trains out of the Keddles Gym in St Mary Cray has promised to bring more fireworks to his performance when he laces the gloves back on.

Talking ahead of his September 24th appearance when he takes on York’s John Joe Bedford Bellingham said, “ I only showed about 50% of what I’m capable of in the fight with Prince, but on the 24th I’m looking to put on a show for all my fans”

“ When I fought Prince I’d only had 4 weeks notice for the fight, and even though I’d been in the gym training regularly I wasn’t in the best physical shape”

“ This time around I’ve been in the gym solidly since my holiday just after the last fight, and I’m feeling fitter and stronger. I’ve also moved down a division to Welterweight and I think you are going to see a much sharper display”

“ When people come out and support me they pay good money to see a performance and they want to watch an exciting fight, so that is what I’m looking to do against Bedford.

Bellingham’s second appearance on the televised Queensbury Boxing League show will take place on Saturday September 24th at the famous Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and for more information log on to www.queensburyboxing.co.uk
