Online betting firm Bodog report a string of bets this morning for Wolves boss Mick McCarthy to be the next Premier League boss to leave his post.
Punters got stuck in at the 8/15 on offer and the firm are now 1/2 about the former Republic of Ireland boss.
“You’d think he was almost a goner judging by the prices this morning but we’re hoping the Wolves board stick with him because McCarthy going would be a bad result for us,” said Bodog’s Nick Gray.
“Wolves don’t play again until next Tuesday when they entertain Liverpool, which I suppose might convince some to think a dismissal early this week would give a new manager some time.”
Paddy Power go an industry-best 4/7 about McCarthy, but Sky Bet are as short as 2/7.
