Celebrity Big Brother is back and X Factor finalist Ryan Clark is the early favourite with the bookies at 13/8 to win this year’s show after the housemates were revealed live on Channel 5 last night.

 

“Its not going to be all champagne and air kisses as celebrity big brother kicks of this year. Some of the house mates will have to face a very different kind of house – the basement. It will divide them and test them like never before” The shows producers told DAILY SPORT.

Here’s our guide to this year’s contestants with the best odds currently available for them to win the hit TV reality show.

 

Lacey Banghard  

Age: 20

Famous for: Glamour modelling

Won the Sun Page 3 Idol contest in 2011 and has since appeared in lads mags Nuts, Front, Loaded, and fronted a steamy campaign for Lynx deodorant. Also appeared as a “Soccerette” on the Sky Sports show Soccer AM.

Rylan Clark

Age: 24

Famous for: Reaching the final five on 2012’s The X Factor and labelling Gary Barlow fat.

Reached the final of Katie Price’s modelling contest before appearing on X Factor where he contantly sang out of tune during outrageous performances which somehow won him a big fanbase. Famously labelled judge Gary Barlow “fat” nbefore hsi elemination in the latter stages

Frankie Dettori  

Age: 41

Famous for:  Jockey

One of the most successful jockeys of his generation, having won over 3000 races, lifted the Dubai World Cup three times and triumphed in no fewer than 14 British Classics. Was made an MBE for his services to sport in 2000, and t made history in 1996 when he won seven races in a single day at Ascot, costing bookies across the country £25m. However the Italian’s career suffered a massive blow in December 2012 when he failed a surprise drugs test and was suspended from racing for six months after taking cocaine.

Famous for: being a supermodel in the 1980s and sharing a seven-year teenage romance with Simon Cowell

Shot to fame following her appearance in iconic Volkswagen ‘Changes’ advert and subsequently worked for brands including Coty, Revlon, Clinique and Gap. was reportedly going to take a coconut called Boris into the house to talk to and keep her company!

Ryan Moloney  

Age: 33

Famous for: Playing “Toadfish” in Australian soap Neighbours

Began his career playing a thug in feature film Say a Little Prayer back in 1993 before first appearing in Neighbours. Developed a bit of a cult following as tunny Jarrod “Toadfish” Rebecchi – brother of Kevin “Stonefish” Rebecchi and secured a long term contract which lasted 16 years.

Age: 26

Famous for: Appearing in reality TV show The Hillsand after having 10 plastic surgeries in one day

Found fame is a cast member of The Hills where she started dating her husband and fellow CBB contestant Spencer Pratt on the show. After leaving the hot show she threw herself into an unsuccessful music careerbefore posing for Maxim and Playboy.

Tricia Penrose

Age: 42

Famous for: Playing barmaid Gina Ward in Heartbeat

Made her TV screen debut in 1993 as Gina Ward in long-running 60s drama Heartbeat – a role she kept until 2010 when the show’s final episode aired. The actress is also a keen singer, and  released two singles before auditioning to perform at the Eurovision Song Contest where she made it to the final before losing out to Jessica Garlick. Has also appeared on Stars in Their Eyes, Sing If You Can and Celebrity MasterChef.

Spencer Pratt

Age: 29

Famous for: Appearing in reality TV show The Hills

Appeared in short-lived reality TV show called The Princes of Malibu, before becoming a hit on MTV’s The Hills where he met and corted his wife Heidi Montag. the pair have a strange reltionship history having been engaged, broken up, married, married again and filed for divorce before changing their minds and getting back together. Since leaving The Hills he has appeared alongside Heidi in the US version of I’m A Celebrity and  in  recent years Pratt he has been arrested and jailed for attempting to board an aircraft with hunting weapons.

Claire Richards  

Age: 35

Famous for: Being a member of pop band Steps

Found fame as the lead singer of 90’s pop group Steps and topped the charts on several occasions, with the best known hit being a cover version of the  Bee Gees’ Tradegy. When she left Steps in 2001 she piled on the pounds before releasing a fitness DVD and documenting her dramatic pre-wedding weight loss in BBC documentary My Big Fat Wedding. She also posed naked for Closer magazine in 2011 and recently made the  final of Popstar to Operastar.

Famous for: Playing Adam Barlow Coronation Streetand appearing in E4’s Beaver Falls

Born and bred in Dundee, the Scotsman experienced his first taste of the high life modelling to help fund his time at university after which he landed him the role of Adam Barlow in Corrie. After three years in the soap he left to avoid becoming “public property” and has since appeared in Scottish soap River City, Sky One’s The Match, and as Flynn in E4’s Beaver Falls.

Famous for: Football, acting, TV appearances

Found fame as a top-flight footballer and enjoyed a 17-year professional career as a central defender for Millwall, Spurs, Southampton, Liverpool and  West Ham. A controversial player, he  was embroiled in no end of on-pitch skirmishes during his playing career and since retiring has apeared on numerous Tv show including A Question of Sport and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

Gillian Taylforth  

Age: 57

Famous for:  Playing Katyhy Beal in Eastenders

Became one of Britain’s best-loved soap actors during the 15 years she spent playing Kathy Beale in EastEnders, having been involved in countless dramatic storylines involving affairs, rape and death. After leaving Albert Square behind, Gillian has gone on to play recurring roles in Footballers’ Wives, Jane Hall, The Bill and Casualty, as well as taking part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2008. Also lost a court case against The Sun in 1994 after she disputed a story they ran which claimed she had ‘pleasured’ her boyfriend on a motorway sliproad.
