ENTERTAINMENT : CORNBURY FESTIVAL, OXFORDSHIRE, FRIDAY
Whilst Kylie Minogue played Glastonbury last week, refusing to wear THOSE gold shorts, Cornbury was treated to the ultra talented Beverley Knight in pretty tight silver shorts.
Donning a retro 80’s style “Choose Love” t-shirt and rainbow soled shoes Beverley performed an incredibly energetic set of classic soul tunes peppered with hits from her back catalogue to an very receptive crowd.
Headliners on the main stage were Coventry’s 1970’s legendary 2-tone band The Specials, who entertained the masses with an impressive list of hits and tunes from more recent albums.
Earlier the crowds were treated to local boy Gaz Coombes catchy tunes and the sultry Ian McCulloch fronted Echo & the Bunnymen.
Today sees Keane headline after five years on hiatus, as well as K T Tunstall, Elkie Brookes, Trevor Horn Band and others, Day tickets available on the gate.
