Bookmakers make Mark Wright the a top priced 1/3 favourite to win tonight’s I’m A Celeb final with Dougie Poynter and be crowned King of the Jungle.
TOWIE star Mark had been at the head of the betting since day one and his flirting with Aussie glamour model Emily Scott sent temperatures – and viewing figures – soaring.
The Essex boy last night reflected on his time in the camp, and how he hopes things with “hot” Emily will develop when he gets out.
“When Emily came into the camp I thought ‘she’s hot’, she’s a true fighter, if I get out and we gel then who knows what might happen, ” said Mark.
“Dougie will be a friend for life but when I first met Antony I didn’t know if I’d get on with him as much as I did.
“For the last 11 years I’ve watched this show and always said I wanted to do that then I was given the opportunity.
“I’ve missed my family and got homesick but I know how proud they are of me, I miss them so much but this experience has 110% made me a better person. It makes me emotional thinking about it because it has been the most wonderful experience. I’m proud and honoured every day that goes by I’ve won, every vote that’s been given me, I’ve won. I am an emotional person and I wear my heart on my sleeve, I really do. I loved singing with Crissy at night and having a laugh with Antony, I’ve had the time of my life.
“The biggest nightmare was during Bed Bugs with the rats, I really am petrified of them but when we finished the challenge and the bell rang it was the best feeling ever.”
The only thing standing between him and victory tonight is McFly’s Dougie, and he is a 5/2 shot to cause an upset and win the “Battle of the Buddies”.
The pop star revealed last night how he initially thought he made a massive mistake in agreeing to take part in the show.
“I was super nervous and I thought, ‘what am I doing? I have nothing in common with these people’. I didn’t expect to get on with many of the others but I’ve met people that I’ll be friends with for a long time, ” he said.
“I thought I wouldn’t get on with Mark but it’s awesome hanging out with him. The experience has been amazing, wicked, everything about the jungle is amazing. Anyone who gets the chance, should do it, it’s the coolest thing ever.
“I’ve learned to man up in the jungle but the worst moment was the morning after the night of treason (when Willie was so cross with them and Crissy was upset at their antics), ” he added.
