Pat Sharp and Lorraine Chase have become the latest stars to leave the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
The former Fun House presenter was booted out after losing to Olympic athlete Fatima Whitbread in a special Bushtucker Trial called “Fill Your Face”, and ex Emmerdale actress exited stage left after receiving the fewest public votes.
Pat battled to stay in the show in a special head-to-head trial with Fatima Whitbread, but lost out narrowly to the former Olympic athlete in a tie-break.
The pair had to wear perspex helmets and find stars with their mouth as bugs and critters were poured in.
At one point trial was halted as Fatima got a cockroach stuck up her nose after 7,500 of the bugs were poured into her helmet.
Camp medic Bob was quickly called in to syringe her nasal passage and after a couple of attempts it sluiced the creepy crawly through her nose and out of her mouth.
Both celebs then went on to successfully complete the four stage challenge, which meant that a tiebreaker was called for.
It consisted of the pair having to dig into a box of meal worms and slime to find three stars with their mouths and Fatima got stuck right in to emerge victorious.
Delighted with her win she said: “When it is head to head you just have to get in there and work until you get to the end there is no point stopping”.
She then returned triumphantly to the camp as a dejected Pat left the jungle and said he woukd like to see Mark go on and be crowned King of the Jungle.
It wasn’t anywhere near as dramatic or traumatic for Lorraine, who shed tears of emotion and joy as she was told by Ant and Dec that the public had decided her time in the jungle was over after 16 days.
The 60-year-old actress, who was accused of being ‘too nice’ by fellow exitee Pat, said she hoped best friend Crissy Rock would now win the show.
She said the pair grew close and shared deeply personal issues including how they were both abused as youngstersadn added that going on the programme was her 60th birthday present to herself and that she had thoroughly enjoyed the experience despite having some emotional moments.
