A Taunton man whose fiver bet won him £24,610.16 from William Hill after he picked 5 winning horses in under an hour is a 45 year old business consultant, whose wife runs a local bee-keeping business.
Adam Bradford regularly places his modest wagers at William Hill’s in East Reach and hit the jackpot when he selected 5 winning horses – two running at Leicester, two at Newcastle and another at Huntingdon. His bet was a 20p unit accumulative wager known as a Canadian, which cost him a total of just £5.20.
‘Mr Bradford always backs horses priced at between 6/1 and 12/1 and his strategy paid off big time – he and his wife are about to buzz off on holiday so that they can celebrate both his win and his imminent birthday’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Mr Bradford placed his bet on October 11 and his winning selections were : CYDONIA, 11/1 winner of 4.50 at Huntingdon; RIVER DRAGON, 9/1, 5.00,Newcastle; MOJAVE, 15/2, 5.10 Leicester; HIGH DIVER, 7/1, Newcastle 5.30 and TARTAN GIGHA, 8/1, Leicester 5.40.
Daily Sport wishes Mr Bradford well and hope that his luck continues.
