Dave Courtney’s Haunting Words In Final Interview revealed in new Krays Trailer

A trailer for an upcoming film ‘The Krays: The Gentlemen and The Mafia’ was released today on what would have been the 90th birthday of gangland legends Reg and Ron Kray.

Produced by Neil Jackson who was behind this years hugely successful ‘A New Breed Of Criminal’, the film explores the relationship between the twins and the mafia during the sixties when new gaming and gambling laws were introduced and the mob looked for new ways to infiltrate Britain.

In the trailer which also features Kim Peat and Maureen Flanagan, gangster-turned-actor Dave Courtney can be heard telling director Richard John Taylor “in reality, no one wants to be at the top of that gangster tree because you don’t run off into the sunset and live happily ever after.”

Courtney passed away on Sunday. On working with him, producer Steve Wraith said “When I sat down with Dave in March, little did I know this would be one of the last interviews he would give on the Krays. He was on great form with that twinkle in his eye and didn’t stop for breath as he gave his unique insight into the twins involvement with the mafia.”
