10/1 Enraptured a ravishing bet at York

Enratptured looks on a potentially lenient mark in the 4.55 at York today and makes plenty of appeal at 10/1.

John Gosden’s filly showed progress form in three runs last season, finishing a solid runner-up in a 16-runner at Newmarket on her second start before going one better at the same venue when easily beating Psychometry by 2 1/4 lengths over 7f.

The daughter os Oasis Dream made virtually all and ran on strongly in the latter, and the runner-up has developed into a fairly useful sort rated 88 and been placed in listed company this season.

The third horse home, Volume – who was beaten a further neck – has also scored three times since and finished place in both the English and Irish Oaks to earn an official rating of 109.

That is very strong form, and makes the selection look on a handy mark off just 86.

Enraptured also comes into the contest on the back of a promising reapperance over a mile in a handicap at Newbury, where she shaped as if needing the run and raced keenly on the heels of the leaders unil weakening late on to finish fourth of 11 to Kosika in a warm looking race.

The runner-up Token Of Love is now rated 103 after subsequently going on to land a listed contest at Haydock, and it was an excellent effort from Enraptured whoi was in second place until weakening and losing two places deep inside the last.

Enraptured should now be spot on to do herself justice, and the drop to to 7f and quick ground look absolutely ideal.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Enraptured (10/1 bet365, Ladbrokes – BOG)
