Goldmadchen runs off a career-low mark in the 2.45 at Wolverhampton today and looks worth a wager at 11/2 to take advantage now returned to the polytrack surface.

James Givens’ mare has been busy plying her trade on the fibresand surface at Southwell, and her last win at that track came off a mark of 62 last February where she won easily by 3 3/4 lengths.

However, she has also run well in just three runs at the venue – finishing runner-up twice – and now gets into this contest off just 48.

That gives her outstanding claims at the weights as she is now 14lb below her last winning mark.

The six-year-old has also not run too badly on her last two starts, hinting that a return to form could be around the corner.

The 1m 4 trip is also ideal, and in what doesn’t look the strongest of amateur riders’ contest she is simply too well-treated to ignore.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Goldmadchen (11/2 bet365, Betfred, BetVictor, Stan James – BOG)
