Executive’s Hall has put in three solid efforts this season and looks decent value at 11/2 to score an overdue success in the 2.45 at Cartmel today from what looks a very workable handicap mark.
Ben Haslam’s charge thrived during 2011 when winning three times, with his last success coming at Uttoxeter on quick ground off a mark of 84 where he stayed on well to beat Englishtown by 3 3/4 lengths.
He the went on to finish runner-up in his next three starts, with the last of those efforts coming of a mark of 100.
Altough he then failed to cut any ice in just four starts last year, he has quickly refound his form and finished third in all three of his outings this season.
He particularly caught the eye on his penultimate start at Catterick when third of 16 to The Good Guy where he fared best of those that where held-up off the pace, and followed that up with a keeping on third of 7 to Big Sound last time out at Hexham where he raced a bit too keenly in the early stages.
The nine-year-old now gets into this off a mark of 87, just 3lb higher than his last success, and is definitely weighted to go in again on the pick of his form.
Another plus is that he has a course and distance win to his name, and with conditions fine and his young rider taking a further 7lb off his back everything looks in place for a huge run.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Executive’s Hall (11/2 BetVictor, Hills, Stan James – BOG)
