12/1 White Rose Runner weighted to go well at Wolves

White Rose Runner shaped well last time out and looks overpriced at 12/1 in the 4.45 at Wolverhampton today after being eased further in the weights.

Mel Brittain’s filly has only had seven starts, and seemed to appreciate the step up in trip when staying on to finish a 2 1/2 length fourth of eight to Hickster over course and distance last month off a mark of 56.

She finished 7 lengths in front of Sarlat, and now meets that rival on 14lb better terms yet can be backed at nearly three times the odds of the jolly.

That doesn’t make sense, despite the fact that Sarlat has shown improved form and won since.

White Rose Runner should have more to come judged on that run, and has since been dropped another 2lb to a mark of 54.

That is 10lb below her opening mark, and 8lb lower than when third to Strcitly Gliyz in a class 5 handicap on the turf at Beverley last summer.

It gives her a big shout at the weights in this class 6 affair, and with the stable in decent nick at present she looks cracking each-way value.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way White Rose Runner (12/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
