13/2 King can leave punters in Paradise

King Of Paradise has a terrific record at Hamilton and looks decent value at 13/2 to  further enhance it in the 3.15 there today having slipped back down the weights.

Eric Alston’s charge has won four of his eight starts at the Scottish venue, and twice made all to score at the track last year.

The first of those win came on fast ground where King Of Paradise won by 5 lengths off a mark of 60, and the second came in a class 4 contest where he beat Discay by a neck off 72.

The five-year-old got put up 7lb and started this campaign on a mark of 79, and after finishing third on sasonal reappearance has subsequently failed to trouble the judge in four starts.

However, he hasn’t run too badly on to finish fourth on his last two starts when ridden with more restraint than usual and the handicapper has continued to cut him some slack.

The five-year-old now gets into this class 5 affair off 73 – just 1lb higher than when last successful in a higher grade contest – and that should enable him to be really competitive now returned to this venue for the first time in 2014.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win King Of Paradise (13/2 Sky Bet – BOG)
