Carlton Frankie has dropped to a handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 14/1 in the 2.20 at York today.
Mick Easterby’s filly started last season in flying form, scoring in good style at Redcar before following up off 8lb higher at Nottingham.
She showed blistering speed in both to make all and score with more in hand thanm the winning marginm suggests.
After getting hit with a further 8lb rise to a mark of 90 her form tailed off and she failed to trouble the judge in four subsequent starts.
However, she has since had wind surgery and now returns to action off a reduced rating of 84 – just 2lb higher than when last successful.
She also has underfoot conitions to suit and remaisn open to progress after just eight career starts.
Carlton Frankie is also 2-3 under Nathan Evans and has shown that she can go well fresh.
