Afaak the ace in the pack at York

Afaak has some strong form to his name and looks the answer to the 4.05 at York today.

Charlie Hills’ colt progressed throughout last season, winning twice nfeore finishing a solid 7 length seventh of 29 to Bless Him in the Britannia at Royal Ascot off a mark of 92.

He also ran a cracker on his final start of the campaign off the same rating when a 1/2 lenhgth second of 16 to the ultra-progressive Addeybb in the Silver Cambridgeshire at Newmarket.

Afaak only got headed close home and was receiving just 1lb from the winner who is unbeaten in two starts since and now rated 117.

That form reads well in the context of this contest and suggests a mark of 97 should not be beyond Affak.

Although only 12th of 22 to Taqdeer on retrun to action in the Spring Mile at Newbury, he shaped as if in need of the outing and looks the type who should have mote to offer as a four-year-old.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Afaak (13/2 bet365 – BOG, 1/4 odds 1,2,3)
