14/1 Secret Asset weighted to go well

Secret Asset has fallen to a dangerous mark and looks worth siding with at 14/1 in the 3.50 at Kempton today now fitted with the blinkers for the first time.

Jane Chapple-Hyam’s gelding is on a losing run of 11 having not scored since landing a class 2 handicap at York back in July 2013 off a mark of 96.

The nine-year-old was put up to 100 after that success, and is now able to race of just 80.

That gives the veteran a big chance from a handicapping perspective, especially now dropped into class 4 company for the first time.

Secret Asset also didn’t shape too badly last time out when seventh of 10 to Secondo in a class 3 affair at Wolverhampton, where he showed plenty of pace before fading late on and this looks easier.

It’s also interesting that connections are fitting him with the blinkers for teh first time, and if they hav the desired effect Secret Asset is weighted to run a huge race in the hands of Martin Dwyer.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Secret Asset (14/1 Betfred, Boylesports – BOG)
