Takeitfromalady worth another chance at 9s to cash-in on career-low mark

Takeitfromalady disappointed last time out but looks worth another chance at 9/1 to cash-in on a career-low mark in the 2.50 at Kempton today.

Lee Carter’s gelding is on a long losing run having not scored in 31 starts since landing a class 4 contest at Windsor back in July 2012 off a mark of 82.

However he did run a couple of solid races to be placed last year, including when a 3/4 length runner-up over course and distance to Shavansy in a class 4 contest off 79, and now gets into this class 6 affair off just 62.

That is the lowest mark the five-year-old has ever run off and makes him extremely well-treated on the pick of his form.

Although well-beaten when heavily punted in from 8/1 to 9/4 favoruite last time out at Lingfield under apprentice Thomas Brown, connections were clearly expecting much better and Taskeitfromalady now gets the professional services of Stevie Donohoe in the saddle.

Off a mark 20lb lower than when last successful, Takeitfromalady is too well-treated to ignore in this line-up if rediscovcering his old form and definitely worth another chance at the odds on offer to capitalise on his plummet in the weights.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Takeitfromalady (9/1 BetVictor, William Hill – BOG)
