Honeymoon Express has dropped to a dangerous mark and looks worth an interest at 16/1 in the 3.25 at Doncaster today now fitted with the blinkers for the first time.

Julia Feilden’s mare was in good form in the summer of 2013, making all to score over 6f at Yarmouth off 64 before following up over 5f at the same venue off 71.

She also ran well on the hat-trick bid when a 3/4 length runner-up to Kylladie after 264 days on the sidelines last May off 73, but after a couple of decent efforts to finish fourth of 75 and third off 74 her form tailed off and she ended last year out of form.

However, the five-year-old has been cut plenty of slack by the assessor as a result and she is snow able to race off 68.

That is 3lb lower than when last successful and gives Honeymoon Express every chance from a handicapping perspective on the pick of her form if bouncing back.

Her handler is certainly adept at rejuvenating horses, and the fitting if the blinkers for the first time looks a positive move.

Honeymoon Express also ran well on seasonal reapperance last season when runner-up at Newmarket, and at the odds on offer she looks a lievly outsider and too well-treated to ignore in this line-up.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Honeymoon Express (16/1 bet365 – BOG)
