16/1 Soaring Spirits worth a wager at Windsor

Soaring Spirits is back down to his last winning mark and with underfoot conditions to suit looks overpriced at 16/1 in the 5.20 at Windsor today.

The gelding is a course and distance winner whose last success came on soft ground at Doncaster 12 months ago when trained by Roger Varian.

The four-year-old stayed on gamley to beat Lazafrus Bell by 1/2 a length off a mark of 77, and has run a couple of solid races to be placed off higher this year since joining Dean Ivory.

The last of those came on soft ground at Chesptow three starts back where Soaring Spirits raced keenly and was unable to find any extra close home to finish a length third to Can’t Change It off 79.

Although he has not been in the same form in two subsequent starts, he is now back down to his last winning mark as a result and now gets the underfoot conditions that he relishes.

Soaring Spirits has also been given a 91 day break, and has run well fresh several times in the past.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Soaring Spirits (16/1 BetVictor – BOG)
