Grand Facile has caught the eye in his last two starts and looks worth a wager at 7/1 in the 1.00 at Lingfield today.
Gary Moore’s charge was well beaten in his first four starts but put in a much improved effort in the first time visor when fourth of nine to Street Art over 1m 4f at Kempton last month off a mark of 53.
After tracking the leaders, Grand Facile was unable to quicken inside the final furlong to be beaten 3 1/4 lengths.
It was an effort which suggested he may well have more to offer and he ran better than the bare result suggests over course and distance last time out whenb a keeping on fourth in an amateur riders contest when getting little assistance from the saddle.
A mark of 72 looks exploutable judged on those efforts, and with Kiren Fox now taking over in the saddle Grand Facile looks decent value to open his account.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Grand Facile (7/1 Boylesports, Coral, Sky Bet, Stan James, William Hill – BOG)
