8/1 Burnhope can cash-in on career low mark

Burnhope runs off a career-low handicap mark in the 2.30 at Nottingham today and looks worth a wager at 8/1 to take advantage and score an overdue success now reunited with jcokey Luke Morris.

Scott Dixon’s charge registered his last victory at Kampton back in January 2013, where he beat Profile Star by a neck off a mark of 70 in a class 4 contest.

He now gets into this lower grade class 6 affair of 15lb lower, having shaped as if coming back to form last time out over course and distance when third of 14 to Prigsnov Dancer in an apprentice race.

The five-year-old showed plenty of early dash to chase the leaders that day before keeping on well to be beaten 5 3/4 lengths.

The Ontoawinner syndicate owned gelding has since been dropped 1lb by the assessor to a career-low of just 55, and that gives him a big shout at the weights if building on his lastest run.

Another positive is that he is now also reunited with Morris who rode him to his last success at Kempton, and has been onboard for both his career successes.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Burnhope (8/1 BetVoctor, Hills – BOG)
