Gormanstown Cuckoo is back down to his last winning mark and with the tongue-tie back looks worth siding with at 8/1 in the 3.40 at Ffos Las.
The gelding had some solid form to his name when trained in Ireland by Colm Murphy and ran out an impressive winner of a competitive handicap at Aintree back in October 2011 off today’s rating of 119.
Now in the care of Michael Blake he shaped better than his finishing position suggest in his first three starts this season before disappointing here last time out.
However connections are now refitting him with the tongue-tie that was left off that day, and having bee rated 132 after his Aintree success he is now 13lb lower.
He also has the services of the talented Micheal Nolan in the saddle who takes another invaluable 5lb off his back and that makes him look very well-treated on the pick of his form.
