Nonchalant caught the eye last time and and looks worth siding with at 8/1 in the 2.00 at Ayr today having been given a big chance by the handicapper.
The gelding won on debut at Cork last year wehn trained by Dermot Weld and went on to run a couple of solid races to be runner-up off an official rating of 94.
His form then tailed off, and after joining David O’Meara he failed to cut any ice in his first five starts this season.
However, there was much more to like about his effort last time out when keeping on late from off the pace to finish a never nearer 6 3/4 length eight of 18 to Kinema at Carlisle and he has since been dropped a further 2lb in the weights.
Nonchalant now gets into this off a career-low mark of just 78 and that makes him potentially very well-treated on the pick of his form if building on his latest effort.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Nonchalant (8/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
