8/1 Runaiocht can cash-in on class drop

Runaiocht has been running well of late and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the 2.35 at Kempton today now dropped in class.

Paul Burgoyne’s gelding is a long standing maiden, but hs run well to be placed on numerous occasions and his last three efforts read well in the context of this contest.

The five-year-old ran well to finish fourth of 12 to Graceilly in a class 6 contest at the track over a mile off 51, and backed that up with a solid staying on fourth of 13 to Time Square over course and distance in a similar grade affair off 50.

Runaiocht then only found the thriving Sabre Rock too strong last time out in a 14-runner class 6 affair at Lingfield, and now gets into this lower grade class 7 contest off the same mark of 50.

That gives Runaiocht a great chance of finally getting his head in front, and he is one of just a handful of horses that come into the contest in any sort of form.

From a decent draw in stall 2 and with Jimmy Quinn in the saddle, everything looks in place for a big run.

Daily Sport recommendede bet: 2pts each-way Runaiocht (8/1 bet365, BetVictor, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, William Hill – BOG)
