9/1 Baltic Prince weighted to strike at Carlisle

Baltic Prince has fallen to a dangerous mark and looks worth siding with at 9/1 in the 4.40 at Carlisle today now returned to a track which he runs well and has conditions to suit.

Paul Green’s charge was last successful over a mile on quick ground at Chester when making all to gamely beat Queen Aggie by 1/2 a length in a class 4 contest last July off a mark of 65.

He went on to finish third over 1m 1f at this venue on unsuitable soft ground off 67, and started this year off in good form when finishing runner-up on three occasions.

The colt has run below par in his last three starts, but his mark has fallen as a result and he now gets into this off just 57.

That is 8lb lower than when last successful and gives the four-year-old a big shout at the weights in this class 5 contest

Baltic Prince also has solid form at the track, winning once and being placed three times from five starts, and is too well-treated to ignore if bouncing back to form.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Baltic Prince (9/1 Paddy Power – BOG)
