Alejandro appeals at 17/2

Alejandro has shaped well in two starts this season and makes plenty of  appeal at 17/2 in the 3.45 at York today.

David O’Meara’s charge is on a long losing run having not scored since landing a brace of contests over course and distance in 2014 – including this race.

The last of those sucesses came of a mark of 94 and Alejandro is now able to race off just 85.

That gives the seven-year-old major claims at the weights on the pick of his form, and there has been plenty to like about his two starts this season when finshing runner-up at Ayr and a keeping on third at Musselburgh six days ago.

Those efforts suggest he retains enough ability to win races off his current mark, and he looks to have been primed for this and runs the track well.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Alejandro (17/2 Paddy Power – BOG)
