Arsenal value to gun down the Germans

Arsenal have a terrific record at home in the Champions League and look good value at 6/5 to beat Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates tonight (7.45pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 2)

The Gunners have lost just one of their last 36 CL games at home (1-3 in the 2008/09 semi-final against Man United) –  winning 25 times in the process.

They have also won nine of their previous 11 European games at the Emirates against German sides, including the last five, and have a striker in Robin van Persie who simply cannot stop scoring goals every time he goes ion the pitch.

The Dutchman has scored 15 goals for Arsenal in CL since 2004-05 and 13 of those have come on home soil.

Dortmund are certainly going to be no pushovers after bouncing back to form and beating Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich on Saturday.

However they have lost 7 of their last 10 CL group stage away games, and face an Arsenal side who are on a roll.

I think that Arsene Wenger’s men can win this and seal a place in the next round, and 6/5 about them doing so looks very tasty.
