Chelsea face a tough trip to Germany tonight to take on Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League (7.45pm KO, Live on ITV 1), and given the current form of the Blues the home side look a massive price at 5/2.
Andre Villas-Boas side are really struggling to get their act together, and their defensive frailties were there for all to see once again when they were beaten 2-1 at Stamford Bridge by Liverpool at the weekend.
The Londoners have also won only two of their last seven CL games and are without a win in their last three group stage games played on the road (two draws and one defeat).
Leverkusen have won five of their last seven home games in European competitions, losing one, and are a tough side to beat on their home patch.
Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack will be playing in his 100th European tie for them and scored in their 2-0 Bundesliga win over Kaiserslautern last Friday.
He is predicting a tough encounter for his former under pressure colleagues, and I think he is right.
This is not the type of game you want when you are struggling, and the well organised Germans will exploit every weakness in Chelsea’s back line.
I can’t really fathom out why Chelsea are favourites to win this and at the 5/2 on offer with Ladbrokes the home side have to be the bet.
