The well-treated Authoritarian has the soft ground conditions that she loves and rates a solid bet at 9/4 to land the 3.30 at Windsor for the second year running.
Richard Hannon’s filly won three times last season, with the last of those successes coming in this contest off a mark of 70 where she stayed on strongly to beat Uncle Dermot by 2 lengths on heavy going.
She has so far failed to sparkle this season, but her handicap mark has fallen as a result and she now gets into this off just 67.
That makes her look weighted to take all the beating, and it would be no surprise to see her leave him form this year behind now that she has the conditions that she relishes.
It’s also inetresting that she now sports blinkers for the first time having been given a break to freshen her up since her last run, and in a contest severely lacking any real strength in depth she is going to be very hard to beat in the hands of Richard Hughes.
